Ear cleaning for cats and dogs

To clean the outer ear use a cotton swab moistened with hydrogen peroxide or olive oil. Start this process while they are still young. Praise them when your finished, and give them a treat, This will make them comfortable with the process.  Grooming is easiest and least traumatic if your cat is looking for attention or feeling sleepy. A cat who in an energetic or playful mood is more likely to struggle and scratch during grooming. If your cat won't cooperate for the cleaning, get a second person to help hold her, using minimal restraint wrap cat in a towel leaving head out, while reassuring it with petting, remembering the more restraint used will cause the cat to become less cooperative and increasingly inclined to claw to escape. Dogs are usually better behaved and usually wont have to use the towel technique. Do you have a technique to share? Leave a comment. Thanks ya'll.
